Law on Social Security
The Law on Social Security was designed to establish the Social Security regime of the Kingdom of Cambodia to ensure equity and social solidarity and to promote the welfare and livelihood of the people.
The purpose of this law is to outline the general principles, procedures, mechanisms, procedures and systems governing the social security regime of the Kingdom of Cambodia, including pensions, health care, employment risk and unemployment.
This law applies to persons in the public sector who are subject to the provisions of the Labor Law, including air and sea personnel, as well as self-employed domestic servants, and do not apply to military personnel. RCMP, as determined by a separate legal document.
The law is divided into 11 chapters and 107 articles, which include: Chapter 1, General Provisions, Chapter 2, General Principles of Social Security, Chapter III, Competent Institutions, Chapter 4, Social Security Scheme, Pensions Chapter 5 Health Sector Chapter 6: Social Security Regime, Labor Risk Chapter 7 - Social Security 9 Major PENALTIES Chapter 10 Transitional Provisions Chapter 11 Final Provisions.
The law was approved by the National Assembly on October 8, 2019 at the 3rd National Assembly Session of the Sixth Legislature and the Senate reviewed the entire legal form and law on October 18, 2019 The fourth legislature was promulgated by the King on November 2, 2019.
