Consumer protection law

Consumer protection law is an important part of the global legal system that drives efficient market economy. Currently, many countries around the world, including nine ASEAN member states, are enforcing consumer protection laws. This law will complement the relevant laws and regulations on consumer protection, including the Civil Code.

The Consumer Protection Law aims to protect the consumer interests from traders' misconduct in commercial activities, protect the rights and interests of consumers, support competitive markets and the quality of services and goods, creating an environment of trade Where the rights and interests of the consumer are protected and the trade is fair and fair, consumers and businessmen work together in confidence.

The Law on Consumer Protection is composed of 11 chapters and 51 articles, including: Chapter 1, General Provisions, Chapter 2, Competent Institutions, Chapter 3, Consumer Association, Chapter 4, and Injustices in Business Chapter 5 Does not work rightly, chapter 6

The law was approved by the National Assembly on October 8, 2019 at the 3rd National Assembly Session of the Sixth Legislature and the Senate completely reviewed the form and its law on October 18, 2019 The 4th Legislature was promulgated by the King of Cambodia on November 2, 2019.
