History and organization of the library RULE

Royal University of Law and Economics (RULE) is a public institution providing education and training in law and economics. In keeping with the spirit of building a human resource in Cambodia in line with the Royal Government's policy, university leaders have been striving to develop management structures to develop the quality and effectiveness of specialized training. At the same time, the provision of documentation resources is also one of the University's core strategies in the process of improving its quality of education and the staff responsible for this area is the library.

C.1 Over View

The Royal University of Law and Economics library was established during the 80s as a center for archives for students and lecturers. The state of the library is constantly evolving from time to time, from the very limited resources available to the rich, the rich and the technologically advanced.

The purpose of the library is to supply all kinds of information to the user. Each year, the university administration spends a great deal of money buying books and extra books in the library to meet the needs of its readers.

In general, the library plays an important role because the library is a repository of documents and places of knowledge that intellectuals use to research, document, and create a legacy for everyone.

C.1.1 Library location and service time

The Royal University of Law and Science Library is located on the second, third and fourth floors of the I campus. Located in a newly built building, the library is completely refurbished, with a large space, complete with state-of-the-art facilities and a wealth of documentation resources. In addition, the library has freely used the internet to facilitate the research of students and professors.

As a research archive, the library runs its activities six days a week, Monday through Saturday, and 11 hours a day, from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm.

C.1.2 Library Services

The Royal University of Law and Science Libraries are where students and faculty can freely use their free and customized research resources. However, if a student and a professor need to borrow a book from the library, they are required to become a member of the library by registering a library card, which is valid by the end of each year. Through membership of the library, students and professors will be entitled to borrow two free books for 14 days for free.

In addition, the library has set up a student liaison room for lecturers, a group project with LCD projector to facilitate group discussion.

C.2 Library Structure

The library of the Royal University of Law and Economics is divided into three sections to suit the specialties of the university's training, which include the Law Library, the Economic Library and the Electronic Library.

C.2.1 Law Library

The Law Library, or we can call it the Law Library, is a specialized library of law or law. Located on the second floor of Building I, the Legal Library contains over 10,000 book resources in three languages: Khmer, English and French, including archives, research reports, thesis reports, national and international legal papers Legal Theory and many other books.

 

C.2.2 Economic Library

Located on the third floor of Building I, unlike the Library of Law, the Economic Library is a specialized library, meaning that the library is a center of almost 10,000 economic and documentary resources. For meeting the research needs of students and professors.

C.2.3 E-Library

As a member of the ASIAN UNIVERSITY NETWORK = AUN, the Royal University of Law and Economics has set up a new library, the Electronic Library. In response to the continuous advancement of technology, e-libraries have made significant contributions to the field of online document research. Located on the fourth floor of the I building, the library is a hub of information technology related resources and equipped with computers for students and professors to research.

C.3 Library and Technology Integration

Under the strong leadership of the management and management of the university, the library of the Royal University of Law and Economics is rapidly evolving with the launch of modern software to manage the library's operations.

As a result, the library uses the world's first modern library management system called Koha, which makes library management work much easier with bookkeeping, bookkeeping, loan management, and many other important functions.
